Both Stonegate and Silverleaf residents have convenient access to nearby recreation facilities. The closest option for Stonegate residents is the 23-acre Stonegate Equestrian Park located just outside the community. Built in August of 2001, the facility features two riding arenas, plus playgrounds, restrooms and picnic shelters. The park was recognized as an Outstanding Facility in 2002 by the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association.
Scottsdale Ranch Park and Tennis Center and Cactus Park are also close to Stonegate. Scottsdale Ranch Park is spread out over 42 acres with open space and sports facilities. There are courts for racquetball, volleyball, basketball and squash, plus baseball fields. In addition, the Via Linda Senior Center, Laguna Elementary School and Piper Branch Boys and Girls Club are located on site as well. Swimming and gym facilities are available at Cactus Park on Cactus Road. This park features a 50-meter heated pool, cardio room and weight room.
Those who live in Silverleaf might be too impressed with the golf course and clubhouse to think about going elsewhere in their spare time. The 72-par, 7,299-yard Silverleaf course was included in Golf Digest’s Top-Rated Golf Courses for Arizona 2005-2006 and Golfweek’s America’s Top 100 Residential Courses 2005. It is recognized as being a visually stunning course that offers challenging play for all skill levels.
After a round of golf, Silverleaf residents can relax at the Silverleaf Country Club and Spa, the community’s private hillside retreat. The Mediterranean-styled facility maintains Silverleaf’s dedication to luxury and beauty, inside and out. Indoor and outdoor dining is available.
